Of course I've been gone for another stretch, but I appreciate you guys still leaving epic comments. Here's a picture or two of Marie in summer garb to cheer you up:

So this guy came to my front door to return some keys and I said "Glad you were able to get in!" and he said, "You too." And so then he left and I shook my head and said "Awkward from birth, that man." XD 

ANYWAY WE WENT ON A ROAD TRIP GAISE. HERE'S MAH TRIPPIN' PICS. (I just meant that they were pictures from a trip, okay.... so trippin' pics they are)

Addy told me my pictures are too small so XLARGE BABY WHAT NOW 

If you can't tell my mind has been eaten by school..... that's why I'm so creepy I suppose. 

And then here's Lucy on a tank and I had a full picture of said tank (don't ask me why they had it at an RV park) but I knew Blogger would make me flip the picture over so here's this half-hearted uno instead.

Wow. I feel really stupid.


Three days after "quitting" my blog, I have more ideas than ever.


And therefore you can disregard my last post. *ughwhyiamsoindecisive*


So yeah foh now I want to be back. I'll try not to quit again after three days, no promises. XD I have some epic ideas now (could've come sooner but y'know).... my blog might have a bit of a different outlook, maybe different stuff than just dolls, but we'll just have to see. Anyway look for a post very soon that will be supah cool and if you still want me to go away that could be arranged. XD

My 2nd Blog-o-versary!

Surprisingly enough, it's already my two year blogoversary! I can't believe that I forgot, but I started this blog on January 17th of 2013. You guys have helped me to come so far! Without a blog, I don't think that I would've stayed involved with my dolls, or realized my passion for photography!


Do you remember that giveaway that I had last year for my first anniversary? That was pretty awesome, and I'm thinking of having another one! What do you say? What kinds of things would you like me to give away?

What Other Than Dolls? I

So, everyone knows by now that I looooove dolls, right?

Right.

But obviously the dolls do not make the girl (I can't think of anything better to say), and there is something that a do a lot of on a regular basis:

Yes, I love, love LOVE to read! I have a few awesome books that I've read recently that I think you guys might enjoy!



I: The Ashtown Burials Series by N.D. Wilson

Wow, this series is just like... in your face, for lack of a better term. I just finished Empire of Bones, the last book of the series, and it was powerful. The story follows Cyrus and Antigone Smith, two kids who's father has died and whose mother is in a coma. They, along with their older brother Dan, struggle to run this broken down motel, until this mysterious and sort of weird dude called Billy Bones shows up and turns their lives around. The story is set in the 60's, but you definitely get a steampunk-explorer vibe. Just amazing, so you should read it now. 

II: The Wingfeather Saga by Andrew Peterson

I'm not exactly the touchy-feely sort of person (Adelaide can attest to that), but these books hit me right in the gut. The Warden and the Wolf King is the last of the four Wingfeather books, follow three awesome kids who live in a world with things other than humans: stuff like sea dragons and half-lizards. These kids figure out that they're not so ordinary (I don't like to spoil things either so just trust my word when I say you should read these books even though my descriptions are lame), and Andrew Peterson uses his literary genius to whip up amazing tales. There are also some amazing Biblical parallels in there.

III. Pictures of Hollis Woods by Patricia Reilly Giff

It's been a year or two since I read this book. I heard somewhere that there was a movie about it, but I don't need a movie because the pictures of this book are engraved in my mind. Hollis is a girl without a family. She's rough around the edges, she can take care of herself... and then she finds this place where she really belongs, and she thinks that they want her to leave. This book is really touching too. So read it.

My Thoughts on GOTYs of Christmas Past, Present and Future

  I'm sorry, but I can't resist titles with play-on words. Anyways, that time has rolled around for a new GOTY doll, and this year her name is Grace. Let's take a look at her and her back story.




So yeah, Grace. First off, I like her wig and freckles. The side bangs are very "in", and it looks like the freckles aren't the generic "Kit" freckles. Yay! She comes with pierced ears and also has feathered eyebrows, it's a unique combo. The outfit is pretty stupid in my opinion except for the boots. And they're only a one on the 1-to-10 cool scale.



Nine-year-old Grace is always thinking up big ideas, like starting a business with her friends over the summer! When Mom announces a trip to Paris instead, Grace gets on board, but it quickly seems as if none of her plans are working out the way she’d hoped. She and her French cousin aren’t getting along, and Grace’s friends back home have started a business without her. Can she find the courage to stay open to new ideas and turn the summer around?


So, that's the synopsis for the first book.. it sounds kind of lame as well, but Paris is cool, and so is baking. I just feel like I've grown out of the AG stories. 

Here's DeenaandBeena's entire collection video... what are your thoughts. The only things that are sort of worth my time are the baking set and pink dress (I like the neckline sort of), but I wouldn't spend an outrageous amount of money on a plastic mixer and a super short tulle dress. La-aame. I feel like this collection is definitely focused towards the younger generation of doll players, not doll collectors. I'm still iffy about the doll... I slightly like her, but we'll have to see how she pans out over the year. 

So that's Grace Thomas (correct me on the last name if I'm wrong), and farewell Isabelle. I personally didn't like Isabelle that much, although I do like the dancing aspect since I dance as well. But the downhill slope in the awesomeness of GOTYs is just annoying. I mean, look at Kanani: super awesome doll, a story about a girl who is struggling with her friendship, and about finding herself. Mia was a figure skater who didn't always win and who had to work for her own skating time because her parents were low on money. Jess left her friends and comfortable living and learned to explore and be brave in a foreign country. Grace... has parents who take her to posh Paris and complains because she can't cook and make money...... *hurls*

Yeah, so what do you think about Grace?

Plus. the Hobbit BotFA is amaaaazing, you need to watch it right now. I went in costume, it was pretty cool man.

Cyber Monday!

So AG always has a supah Cyber Monday sale, and although it usually starts at twelve when I looked it wasn't up... so I got on earlier this morning and there it was! Try to order fast, because things disappear like bread on the beach of seagulls or something.

Linea Wren Lininger + Thanksgiving

Welcome Linea! On my birthday a few weeks ago, my mom gave me a used doll from ebay to fix up: and it's Lanie, the GOtY from 2010! I have always really wanted Lanie, and I'm so excited to have her in my collection. Now, I'm trying to make the decision of whether to get her a new head or a different wig... her current hair is very thin at the roots and dried out. So what do you think? Should I customize Linea, or just get her a new wig? 

And Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that you guys have a great day with family! I'm thankful for all of my followers! Thank you for always making me smile. :)

A Few of my Favorite Things! *snowflakes that stay on my nose, etc*

My sister has been getting on me recently, telling me to post more, and the fact is that she's right. :P So, with her as an "accountability partner", I'm going to try to post once a week.

Here is a small list of blogs and Youtube channels that I have been obsessed with recently. (Okay obsessed is harsh)

 Studio C- Okay, so this isn't doll related, but these videos are seriously addicting. They're comedy sketches and are hilarious beyond compare.

The Saltys (renamed the Salty Breeze)- This is one of my all-time favorite doll blogs. The three sisters: Chrissa, Elizabeth and Georgia, all super unique and super awesome!


Down By the Willows- Adelaide is my sister, and who can pass up some advertisement? ;) Anyways, Addy's blog is supah cool and she's the poet-introvert-super cool-tumblrlike type. This picture above is one that I stole from her Pinterest. :)


AGsmiless- Alexis of AGsmiless is a very talented AGTuber! She makes a series called Aspen Heights with her dolls that is *awesome*! Even Addy thinks that it's okay, and she despises dolls. XD  (Obviously this is not the best picture but I couldn't find anything else)

The Thing About Names....

Yeah, so my creative mind has been going.

Crazy, right?

More like scary.


  But back to the point, I've been thinking about re-naming some of my dolls. Of course, this is super cool in some ways, but in other ways it's lame because then everyone is confused and you have to change all of your "marketing merchandise"... as in if I re-named Saige I would also have to re-name this blog.

Buts I'm going with it, so deal with ti. No, I meant with it. Deal with it.

I would travel on the first week of school to avoid it.

Sweater Weather

Okay, while I hate the song and the sentence is cliche, I do like sweaters and fall weather is awesome. So I took Elizabeth outside (in a sweater, duh) and took some pictures!
