The Doll Rush

You've probably heard that American Girl is retiring four dolls as they prepare to release the new "Beforever" line.

Ugh.

Yeah, I'm not too happy about these changes, and I'm not sure that I've met many other people other than the designers at Mattel who are happy about it. Mattel is retiring all of the BF dolls as well as Marie-Grace and Cecile (but we saw that coming, didn't we? They never sold well). It sounds like this is kind of a last reach thing to get younger girls into the Historical Line. I think that they're going to be doing a lot of changing and downsizing.

We come to the question that a lot of collectors have been asking: Is the true vision of AG dead?

If the title doesn't make sense to you, don't worry. I'm getting to that.

Whenever AG comes out with a limited edition doll or they announce that they are retiring a doll, do you get that sudden urge to buy? I have had my eye on Ruthie for quite a while, and when they announced that they were retiring her, I started making plans in my head of how I could save up enough to buy her A.S.A.P. But I hadn't been so zealous to buy her until I knew that she was being retired. She didn't barely cross my mind before! I don't know... I just wanted to give you some advice. Don't buy a doll just because it's retiring. Buy a doll because you think that it's something that you would use, and something that would improve your collection.

So, tell me: What do you think of this new line?

I'm Plumb out of Ideas!

Hey everyone! You've probably noticed that I've been lax on posting lately, and the fact is, I don't really have any ideas!

Anyways, let me know what you think.

(Hopefully you'll see a real post soon! XD)

But still... I took these photos of Shola right after I opened her (It's been a bit now), and I must say, she is STUNNING!

Thank Yous, Apologies, And Good News

Do you want the good news or the bad news first?

I'm just kidding, it's all good news!

Sooo, I'm done with school. This means that I can finally get back to doing what I love: writing and making videos! I am super excited and I have a lot of fun posts planned for this summer.

Also, thank you soooo very much for 43 subscribers and 10,000 pageviews! I have been so blessed with a awesome community of supporters who have always faithfully waited for me! I know I haven't been around much, but now that school's out I'm so glad that I can get back to it.

I have to head out for a Kindergarten graduation (there are so many cute kids in my Sunday School!), but I do have another post for later today... a welcoming! (Guess what kind of doll!)

Plus, I would love it if you, my followers, went to check out my sister's new blog! Her name is Adelaide, and on her blog she will post about life, writing, fangirling (I'm looking at you, Juliet (; ), and other cool stuff. Also, if you design blogs, Adelaide is looking for someone to design her blog for her. It's called Down By The Willows and I have a feeling it's going to be awesome, knowing her.

Shadowfax, The Lord of All Horses

Forgive the title, my sister is watching The Two Towers as I type and I couldn't help it. Just so you know, we didn't fall off the planet. We have entered into the realm of Mordor, and Gandalf would have a thing or two to say if he saw us (in other words my life is super busy with school etc. right now XD). I just wanted to let you know that I haven't quit and I'll try to conjure up a post soon.

I have been taking more care of my youtube channel, LongliveNarniaAG, because I really enjoy making stopmotions and the Youtube community is just plain fun. Obviously I'll need to balance things out, but I do only have 13 days of school left. :)

Some Pictures from the Prodigal Dally!

I know, I know, I always seem to be AWOL for long periods of time, but I was really trying to focus on my Youtube account the past week or so (I have a super cool stopmotion that I'm working on!) and have been caught up with school! You know how much I love and couldn't resist a photo session, though, so I grabbed my camera this afternoon and took some snaps of my beautiful doll family. These are SOOC (straight out of camera), like they usually are. Enjoy!

Have a good night!
