Do not say this is the end.

Well, as they say, I am leaving. I'm really sorry, everyone, but this is the end, for now. Until May 5th. :) Again, like last time, I am taking a break from blogging (for the same reasons). I won't be on the internet at all, so you can comment but they won't be moderated until after next Sunday. Thanks for so much support and 22 followers! I really appreciate it.
                                                                           Sincerely,

Well lookie there!

Hey, I got awarded again! Emma at throughtheeyesofadoll.blogspot.com awarded me with this...

Wait one little minute.... didn't I already fill this out? Yes, and the thing is, I nominated her for this award.... but she'd already filled it out! Ah well, it just goes in a big cycle. :)

I did get a different award, though!

Sanks to Dollygirl from dollygirlstreasures.blogspot.com!

1. If you could create any American Girl doll, what would she look like, and what would her name be?

Hmmm dee hmmm... I think that I would give her crimped blonde hair, freckles, and green eyes.

2. What American Girl dolls do you have?

I have Elizabeth, Marie Grace and Saige.... contemplating getting another one.

3. Do you have any non-AG 18 inch dolls?

No, I don't. I have a 14 inch Hearts for Hearts Consuelo doll, though.

4. What is your absolute favorite brand of dolls?

I really love AG and Wilde Imagination.

5. What is the next doll (AG or non-AG) that you want to get?

I would like to get either Caroline, Molly, Josefina, several MAGs, or an Ellowyne. Maybe a H4H girl.

6. What is your favorite thing to do with your dolls?

I love doing their hair, taking pictures, and playing. :)

7. Do you have a place for your dolls, like a corner of a room, where their's beds and stuff?

A baby dressing table is mine to put on top whatever I want, so I have a handmade bunkbed and box beds on it.

8. Would you rather use the computer/watch TV/play on your phone of electronical device/play video games or play with your dolls?

I like blogging and all, but dolls - and reading if it counts - are my favorites.

 9. If your parents told you that you could only have one doll, what would you do?

This is kind of what happened to me... Well, not exactly because I have four :)... but they told me that they would only pay for one, I have to save up for the rest and don't get them as gifts or anything else.

10. Have you ever found an American Girl brand item (can be anything) at a second-hand store?

No, but I do wish.

11. Do your friends share your love for dolls?

No one in a say, fifty mile radius of me. :) Besides you guys. ;)

12. What is your favorite non-AG doll brand?

H4H or Wilde Imagination

13. Where do you get your inspiration?

Well, from my own-nessy mind. :) Other blog's photography was the only thing that I used to help better pictures.

14. Does anyone in your family share your love for dolls?

No, they think that they are evil zombies who take away all of my money. :)

15. Where did you get the idea to start a blog?

I started reading other doll blogs at the beginning of this year.

I HAVE 20 FOLLOWERS! Thanks so much everyone, and I would like to award this to everyone who follows my blog! Thanks guys.

(And P.S. I'm not dead just didn't have any internet around this week)

Happy Garlic Day!

Obviously the title has nothing to do with my post, but that is today's holiday. :)

As most of my readers know, I love Lord of the Rings and the Chronicles of Narnia... but what kind of books do my dolls like? Well, here they are:

Lucy is in love with her series. Yes, Lucy was actually named after the Lucy Novels. :) And she loves to read them, too! The author, Nancy Rue, actually signed the series.

Lizzy is reading the Prydain Chronicles by Lloyd Alexander right now, and she just started Book 3: The Castle of Llyr.

My old fashioned dear, Nicole, loves to read Judy Bolton mysteries. She has antique copies, too!
Saige loves to snuggle up with her Uglydoll and read the Wingfeather Saga.
Even though Consuelo is the smallest doll around here, she is probably the biggest reader! She loves animals, and especially books all about them! She's just starting the newest installment of the Epic Order of the Seven.

I have read almost all of these books several times, and love them! What are your favorite books?

I've been awarded!

This is actually my first award... very excited! Thanks to Dollygirl from dollygirlstreasures.blogspot.com for nominating me!

1. If you could have a "flower pen name" like we have here on our blog, Violets and Daisies, what would it be?

I would use Magnolia or Carnation, just to be unique. :)

2. What is your favorite ever Bible verse and why?

My favorite Bible verse right now is Luke 12:34- Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

3. What are the blogs that inspire you most?
The blogs that inspire me most are Doll Diaries, Doll Delight, Whispers of the Wind, and Adollable Dolls.

4. If you and your friends could visit anywhere in the country, where would it be?

I would probably want to visit Ireland or Switzerland.

Now, it's my turn to award five blogs! I'm just going to pick some out of my followers, because my blog isn't very popular.

1. Kathryn at Delaney Loves AG
2. AmericanGirl1972 at American Girl Everything
3. Asmita at Not Only About Dolls
4. Jess at Whispers of the Wind
5. Emma at Through the Eyes of a Doll

You don't have to do this if you don't want to... I just thought I would nominate you! :)

Bloggers who I aspire to be like.

A new feature! Every week, I will post about one blogger who has either impacted me in some way or helped me in my journey so far. And I have to start with first things first.

I was not "into" dolls when I was younger, although I wish I had been. I got my first doll in 2010, Elizabeth, to be exact. I really liked her and would play with her frequently, but there was a period when I would just leave her on my bed, collecting dust. But that only lasted about a month. :) Then I was back into dolls again, and I got another one. That was around the time I found Doll Diaries. I found it while searching for news about the GOTY 2012, and after that, I started watching for more posts. Doll Diaries is my favorite site, and it was the one who really inspired me to blog. Thanks, DD.

Also, I think that I am going to attempt designing my blog. I really love the design that I have right now, but I'd like to try it and see how it goes. If you have any tips for me in my dangerous journey, please let me know ASAP. *worried look* ;)

My first doll craft

Yesterday, I was at Walmart. I saw some cute La Dee Da Dolls, though I didn't get one. They also sell the My Life As brand, which is from Madame Alexander. I didn't think that they were really great quality, but they did have a bucket of shoes, two dollars for a pair. So I bought some sandals.

They are hard plastic (not flexible at all), but I still thought they would fit on my doll. To get them on, though, I ended up using surgical shears to cut a slit in the back of the shoe. They look kind of... let's say: dorky. So this is where the craft part comes in.

What you need:
A pair of plain shoes
A small bowl
glue
water
glitter and sequins
paint brush
paper towel
newspaper

First, put some newpaper under the shoes. This is going to get messy. ☺
Next, squeeze some glue into the bottom of a small glass bowl.
Add the same amount of water to the bowl as you did glue.
Then, use a paint brush to mix them together into a watery white gloop. :)
Now it's time to pick your color of glitter. I decided that I was going to use silver glitter.
Okie, what I did basically was use the paintbrush to cover small sections at a time.
I basically just poured the whole glitter container out on the shoe... everywhere but the bottom.
Very messy!

Sparkly shoe! Alright, on to the next step.
I scooped some glitter off from my newspaper, then got a little glue on it. That way, I could seal the glitter enough. Make sure to tap off all of your excess glitter before you seal it.
And you're all done! Unless, that is, you want some pops of color. Which I did.
Enter, pink glitter!
I sprinkled on some more glue, then sprinkled the glitter over the silver. And now.... for the last step.

CLEAN UP! There is going to be a huge mess, and I think your parents would really appreciate it if you cleaned up. Wash your hands first, so that you don't sprinkle glitter everywhere. Also, it would be really painful if you got it in your eyes. :( Wipe the counter, rinse out the bowl and brush, and then set the shoes on a paper towel by the window.
Let them dry for twenty-four hours, at least!

I added sequins to the part of sandals where there were flowers. ☺So cute!

Now it's your turn! Send me pictures of your doll crafts (it doesn't have to be this one). I would love to share them!

XOXO,

Help!

I've posted a few surveys about what to get with my next American Girl order... but I still can't decide! I think I'm going to order today, because I really need the Sparkly Hair Pick for Saige's hair lest it fall into disorder. :)

I really love Caroline's Work Dress and Her Travel Outfit....

I would want the bonnet and coat with this too... but I just love the print and color!

Soooo cute!

I also really like this. The colors and that vest are really cute and would be something I would wear... if I lived in 1854. :)

I really like all the clothes that Josefina has.

If I were to go with modern, I think that I'm going to get Saige's Parade Outfit with the Helmet and Hat... maybe without.

I really like the colors of this, and the hats are cute. LOVE THOSE BOOTS!

So I'm still stuck in a jam but I'm going to order soon... so I guess that I'll have to make a decision sometime!

Also, this is Wilde Imagination's 5th Annual Ellowyne Poetry contest, which means you could win an Ellowyne doll! I don't know if I'm going to enter, because I don't really like fashion dolls and they seem a bit too gothic to me... but I do think that this one is cute:

Are you going to enter? And which outfit do you think that I should get?

                                              Sincerely,

My new doll.

Well, I got some guesses about my new doll.... and the lovely AmericanGirl1972 guessed right! I got the H4H girl Consuelo. Basically I was just walking through Target and came upon the doll isle. They had Consuelo and Zelia there, but a friend helped me decide on Consuelo. They're only $25 dollars, which is $85 less than American Girl. They are 14" tall and have gorgeous quality rooted hair. Their bodies are full vinyl, and they have glass eyes that don't open and close. I personally think that they are great quality for this price. Anyways, enough talking about it. Here is Consuelo!

What a cutie!
Consuelo is so photogenic! Her head tilts at different angles and she looks different in almost every photo!

Her hair is so silky, and you can see how shiny it is in this picture.
This isn't even a fourth of the pictures I took of her... but I better not overload the camera too much. :)
